Adaptive Themes to ship with Built in Administration Theme

We are happy to announce that we have developed an administration style "theme" that will ship with all professional Drupal themes for sale on this site. The important thing to note is that it's not a separate theme, but built into the base theme and is toggled on and off in the theme settings.

The admin pages are styled more like a traditional CMS admin section, so the normal front end theme does not get in the way of content management or administrative operations.

The admin theme is optional and can be toggled on and off in the Advanced Theme Settings, where you can choose to show for admin pages and optionally use for Node add/edit/delete pages also. If you want to use a dedicated admin theme such as Root Candy our admin styles won't interfere with the dedicated theme.

The new admin theme also takes over the blocks page. Instead of each block showing as per normal they show block information such as block id, block classes, block module and so on. This information and the actual block content are inside collapsed fieldsets so they don't take up too much room. The blocks have been restyled so they don't show their normal design, but rather our "admin style" design. Soon I will add support for Blocktheme module so that information is shown if available.

We highly recommend using the Admin menu module with our themes as we believe its the best thing since sliced bread for Drupal site management.

We believe this is big bonus for our customers who will now have a consistent, user friendly administration section for their Drupal sites. It also frees our designer to be more creative with the front end theme and our themers can put more of their effort into where it counts.

Here are a few screenshots to show the direction we are going in. The design is simple, neutral and with plenty of white space. It uses a few gradients but is mostly CSS.
